Your missions

Reporting to the Injection Molding Shop Manager, you will play a key role in supervising the teams and ensuring the workshop’s performance.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be:

  • On the technical side: by following the schedule developed by the Injection Molding Shop Manager:
    • Be responsible for your team’s production in terms of safety, productivity, and quality.
    • Verify the availability and compliance of manufacturing documents at each workstation; alert the Injection Molding Shop Manager or the Quality Department as needed.
    • Record the traceability of the material batch on the work order.
    • Ensure that production start-ups and shutdowns proceed smoothly in accordance with current instructions.
    • Anticipate and coordinate production changes in collaboration with the logistics department: cleaning of equipment and work areas.
    • Start production runs and inspect the first parts.
    • Make adjustments and/or fine-tune settings based on observed deviations.
    • Respond to machine alarms and service requests from operators or the Quality Department.
    • Maintain the overall condition of production equipment (molds, presses, peripheral equipment).
    • Propose areas for improvement to your supervisor.
    • Alert your supervisor immediately in the event of any anomalies.
    • Complete the required documentation during interventions, production starts, or at any other appropriate time.
    • Ensure that your team’s production data is accurately entered into the Cyclades system.
    • Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

 

  • On the management side:
    • Train and mentor new employees (temporary workers, new hires, etc.)
    • Ensure a smooth handover of instructions between teams and relay important information from the team to the Workshop Manager.
    • Comply with and enforce rules regarding hygiene, safety, quality, and waste sorting.
    • Foster a positive work environment within the team
    • Organize the team at the start of the shift: assign tasks, schedule breaks, and make adjustments as needed.
    • Identify and report team-related issues (absences, tardiness, behavior, etc.).

Desired candidate profile

  • Proven experience in plastic injection molding (at least 5 years), ideally with some experience in team leadership.
  • Knowledge of first-level maintenance of machines and molds
  • Proficiency with Arburg, Engel, Haitian, and Demag injection molding machines, as well as Wittmann and Sepro robots.
  • Proficiency with computer software
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and independently.
  • Independence, attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, team spirit, and natural leadership.
