Focus on SGH Tunisia: A flexible industrial model driving performance

As industrial challenges evolve, having the right partner is no longer just about capacity, it’s about adaptability and reliability over time.

This is exactly where our plant SGH Tunisia plays a key role within SGH Medical Pharma’s industrial footprint. SGH Tunisia is designed as a performance lever for our partners.

The site relies on:

  • Optimized workforce structure
  • Manual and semi-automated assembly capabilities
  • 18 flexible assembly lines
  • Ability to switch production quickly
  • Flexible support functions

SGH Tunisia assembles devices made up of several plastic components, with processes ranging from manual assembly to semi-automated operations. Teams take care of component setup, part inspection, sub-assembly, and final packaging, in line with the quality requirements for each product.

The site can also support all types of projects, including specific development projects, in close collaboration with our other sites. This approach allows development, industrialization, and production to be carried out on our 3 plants.

In an environment where responsiveness and operational performance have become major priorities, quality and compliance remain non-negotiable requirements.

At SGH Tunisia, this commitment is reflected in compliance with the same ISO 13485 standards applied across our French sites.

In other words, our customers do not have to choose between logistical performance and regulatory requirements: they benefit from both.

This organization allows us to:

  • Absorb activity peaks without disrupting production

  • Adjust volumes without heavy industrial constraints

  • Maintain lead times

  • Less rigidity, more responsiveness.

Strategic location and controlled logistics

SGH Tunisia benefits from a strong geographic proximity to Europe. Flows between France and the rest of Europe are organized in a regular and structured way.

The site operates under a 100% offshore status, with customs management handled internally. This setup allows teams to anticipate formalities, secure import/export flows, and limit the risk of delays, ensuring reliable and controlled lead times for our customers.

This includes:

  • internal tracking of customs files
  • careful management of transport documents and declarations
  • direct coordination with carriers
  • control of incoming and outgoing goods on site
  • organization enabling shipments to be prepared in advance
  • full traceability of materials, components, and finished products

SGH Tunisia relies on:

  • More than 120 employees, including 95 operators
  • Dedicated Team Leaders and Quality coordinators
  • A 6-person quality team integrated into production

This close connection to the shop floor ensures responsiveness, operational control and continuous improvement.

A strategic solution for supply chain resilience

Recent years have highlighted the vulnerability of supply chains, driven by local tensions, workforce constraints and supplier saturation.

By integrating SGH Tunisia into our industrial strategy, our partners benefit from geographic diversification, distributed industrial capacity and strengthened business continuity.

More than a site, a strategic industrial asset.

SGH Tunisia enables our partners to:

  • Improve their competitiveness
  • Secure their supply chain
  • Increase agility
  • Maintain high-quality standards

All within a controlled and reliable industrial framework.

SGH Tunisia also provides a strategic gateway to new markets. Its proximity to Europe, combined with its position at the crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, enables our partners to support their international development.
