Your missions
Reporting to the Injection Workshop Manager, you will play a key role in supervising teams and ensuring the workshop’s performance.
In this role, your main responsibilities will be:
Technical aspects: following the schedule drawn up by the Injection Workshop Manager
- Be responsible for your team’s production in terms of safety, productivity, and quality.
- Check the availability and compliance of manufacturing documents at each workstation; alert the injection workshop manager or quality department if necessary.
- Note the traceability of the material batch on the manufacturing order.
- Ensure that production starts and ends smoothly in accordance with current instructions.
- Anticipate and coordinate manufacturing changes in conjunction with the logistics department: cleaning of peripherals and work area.
- Start production and carry out initial piece checks.
- Make adjustments and/or adjustments based on any deviations observed.
- Respond to machine alarms and requests for intervention from operators or the quality department.
- Maintain the general condition of the work tools (molds/presses/peripherals).
- Suggest areas for improvement to your line manager.
- Alert your line manager as soon as possible in the event of any anomalies.
- Fill in the relevant documents during interventions, start-ups or at any other useful time.
- Ensure that your team’s production data is entered correctly into the Cyclades tool.
- Apply and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
On the management aspect
- Train and support new arrivals in their positions (temporary workers, new hires, etc.).
- Ensure a smooth handover of instructions between teams and report important information from the team to the Workshop Manager.
- Comply with and enforce health, safety, quality, and waste sorting rules.
- Ensure a good working atmosphere within the team.
- Organize your team at the start of the shift: distribution of tasks, breaks, adjustments according to unforeseen circumstances.
- Identify and report any issues within the team (absences, lateness, behavior, etc.).
Desired profile
- Proven experience in plastic injection molding (minimum 5 years), ideally with initial experience in team management.
- Knowledge of first-level maintenance of machines/molds.
- Proficiency with Arburg, Engel, Haitian, and Demag presses and Wittmann and Sepro robots.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and independently.
- Independence, rigor, organizational skills, communication skills, team spirit, and natural leadership.
